BWI Airport to Caravan Hostel

🚆 Step 1: Shuttle to BWI Rail Station

  • After baggage claim, head to the lower-level curb at doors 2, 8, 15, or 17.

  • Catch the free BWI Airport Shuttle (every ~6 min during the day, ~25 min overnight) to the Amtrak/MARC station

🚆 Step 2: Take MARC Penn Line to Union Station

  • At the station buy a MARC Penn Line ticket ($7–9), or use the CharmPass app

  • Board a southbound MARC train to Washington Union Station (~30–40 min)

🚇 Step 3: Bus from Union Station

  • Exit the front entrance of Union Station and head to the right at Massachusetts Ave NE + 1st St NW. Take Metrobus C51 (northbound) toward Tenleytown. Roughly 19 stops 20-25 minutes.

  • Get off at 18th St + Belmont Rd NW.

  • Head south bound on 18th St towards Kalorama Rd.

  • You will see Caravan on your lefthand side, the pink and purple building at 2311 18th St NW.

Caravan Hostel to BWI Airport

🚇 Step 1: Bus to Union Station

  • Exit our front door and make a right. Walk to the crosswalk at 18th + Belmont Rd. Cross and make a left. Infront of SMASH Records is a bus stop.

  • Catch the C51 bus towards Anacostia. Roughly 18 stops ~ 20-20 minutes.

  • Get off at Columbus Circle + Delaware Ave.

  • Walk across the circle to enter Union Station

🚆 Step 2: MARC Penn Line to BWI Rail Station

  • At Union Station, access MARC Penn Line platform.

  • Buy a Penn Line ticket ($7–9) via app or rail ticket machines

  • Board the next southbound train to BWI Rail Station (~35–50 min)

🚐 Step 3: Free Shuttle from BWI Rail Station to Terminal

  • Walk to the free BWI Airport shuttle stop at the lower-level station garage.

  • Buses run every 6 min during the day, 25 min overnight

  • Shuttle ride to the terminal is ~10 min.
